Surgery for retroperitoneal and pelvic lymph node metastases of colorectal cancer

AIM: to evaluate the effect of surgery for metastases in retroperitoneal and pelvic lymph nodes on overall disease-free survival. PATIENTS AND METHODS: analysis included 30 patients with node colorectal cancer. Synchronous nodes, were diagnosed 21/30 (70%). RESULTS: median survival who underwent lymphodissection was 32 13 months, respectively. Recurrence occurred 14/30 (47%) patients. One-, two-, three-year 61 ± 11%, 20 0%; general 95 4%, 74 14%, 37 19%, relatively. The group isolated lesion 14 (9–29) months 10 (6–18) combination synchronous liver lesion. One-and same groups 58 15% 0%, p = 0.2. univariate did not reveal any factors related CONCLUSION: a selected cancer, lesions including resectable other organs, can be justified, since it is accompanied by relatively low rate complications. However, small cohort requires further study. .
